Overview
Design and Technology at JRCS will provide all students with opportunities to gain both practical and theoretical knowledge and skills; of both modern day design and manufacture and the technological developments of human society. Students will be encouraged to develop creativity skills through problem solving and design tasks.

In year 7, 8 and 9, students have the opportunity to progressively improve their skill and understanding of tools, equipment and materials used in the Design Industry. They work towards creating projects to embed this and do creative tasks through extended homework and controlled assessment tasks throughout the year to explore creativity and see the purpose and workings of the skills they have learnt.
